“Build the Future: Career Planning and Development for Secondary School Students” project – “One Day” experience at work

As part of the “Building the Future: Planning and Developing a Career in Schools” project, which has been implemented with the support of the Chevron Khazar last year, the program’s participants have started their internship in the so-called “One Day” experience at work in the new academic year. The main purpose of the visit is to help young people to get acquainted with the workplace and work requirements of the profession they are interested in.

In this regard, the students first visited Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. During the trip, the students met with the management of the center and got closely acquainted with the work process. Head of the Center Imran Bagirov gave information about the startups and projects implemented by the youth. Imran Bagirov also spoke about the possibility of a successful career, new specialities, the role of innovations in the modern labour market. At the end of the meeting, the central staff also answered the questions raised by the school children.

It should be noted that the project was implemented within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the “Məktəblinin Dostu” (Friend of the Schoolchild) project in the 2017-2018 academic year.
