“Build the Future: Career Planning and Development for Secondary School Students” project’s participants met with professionals from different business sectors.

On June 12 2019, at Landmark Business Center Junior Achievement Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with professionals from different business sectors with the financial support of Chevron Khazar LTD. The meeting was organized as a final stage of the project titled “Build the Future: Career Planning and Development for Students” which was held during the academic year 2018-2019. The event has been implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic and “Məktəblinin Dostu” (Friend of School) project. The main goal of the project was to educate students about potential career and job opportunities in different labour markets and prepare youth for their future careers.

Starting 2015 the project has engaged more than 1750 students from 48 schools in career planning activities. Since 2016, JA Azerbaijan cooperated with “Friend of School” project to ensure the sustainability of the project and trained 30 school’s friends as a trainer. Through meeting with professionals, the project has brought together more than 45 private and public sector professionals and students.
