Introducing entrepreneurial education at the schools
On September 3-6, JA Azerbaijan conducted TOT on entrepreneurship education for secondary and VET schools teachers. The training was organized within the framework of the “Entrepreneurship for Youth” project, funded by the European Union and co-funded by PASHA Bank. The aim of the training was to enhance the teachers’ knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship education by introducing creative teaching methods and techniques based on European experience.
In total 45 teachers from 17 secondary and vocational schools from Baku were invited to participate in the 4-whole days training sessions. The training was conducted by Epp Vodja and Aliona Bostan, experts from JA Estonia.
During the training, innovative teaching methods on entrepreneurship education were introduced to teachers. The sessions started with the energizing exercises and continued with learning experience full of fun and curiosity. Teachers became more familiar with the basics and tools of entrepreneurship education and had a chance to practice Osterwalder’s business model. On the last day of the training, teachers as a market participant applied gained skills with JA Estonia’s “Simulator 7” program.
At the end, all participants were awarded certificates.
It should be noted that trained teachers will conduct training on entrepreneurship in schools during the 2019-2020 academic year.
