“Smart Budget” project was finalized with poster competition. Post date
Junior Achievement Azerbaijan in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Central Bank and Swiss Cooperation Office hold poster competition on financial literacy among youth at age 14-15. The action was part of “Smart Budgeting” project financed by the Azerbaijani Youth Foundation. The overall objective of the action was to equip youth with financial literacy and practical money skills and to empower them to make smart financial decisions for their future.
160 boys and girls from different districts of Baku attended the event and were competing with each other as a team. They have prepared posters explaining concepts of money, earning, saving, spending, budgeting, banking, insurance and taxation. Financial literacy is a core life skill for participating in modern society. Financial education can make a difference. It can empower and equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take charge of their lives and build a more secure future for themselves and their families.
