Training of Trainers within the framework of the Youth Empowerment and Leadership Program (YELP)

On 13-14-15 November, Junior Achievement (JA) Azerbaijan held “Training of Trainers” of Youth Career Planning and Development in Binagadi Youth House within the framework “Youth Leadership and Professional Development” Program which is financed by UNICEF and European Union. The program is implemented by the cooperation of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Youth Foundation. The main objective of the program is to introduce the professionals who work with youth to the JA’s Work readiness and Career planning programs.

The employees of Binagadi District Youth House, Khazar District Youth House, Mingachevir City Youth House, Shamkir, Bilasuvar and Kazakh Youth Development and Career Centers participated actively in three days’ training.

First of all, during the training trainers became acquainted with the module of the program. On the first day of the training, the discussion about personal values, skills, and interests was held. The issues like creating of action plan and making proper decisions for a successful career were mentioned. They accomplished group works, such as “Critical Thinking and Creativity, “Communication and Conflict Management” and analyzed their scenarios. The program introduces the importance of career planning with the aim of defining strong personal features and skills. On the last day of the training, they worked in groups and individually about job priorities, recruiters’ requirements, and personal branding.

Following that training, the staff of the Youth Houses will implement the experience gained in their training for their members.
