This year JA Azerbaijan continues the implementation of the “Smart Budget” project with the financial support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main objective of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills of young people in financial literacy. Within the framework of the project, young people will be able to manage their own financial resources by gaining both theoretical and practical knowledge of financial and money management skills.

The project involved 10 general education institutions selected by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The training program will cover 300 young people aged between 14-16 from schools in Yasamal, Nasimi, Sabail, Narimanov, Garadagh, Sabunchi, Khatai, Binagadi, Nizami and Khazar regions. Training sessions will take place in November and December. At this stage, the youth will be introduced to the financial literacy training resource “My Budget” and will play an interactive game “Balance Break Even or Broke”.

Financial literacy is an important step for the long-term development of the global financial system. Teaching financial literacy plays an important role in improving the quality of life and economic security of future generations. Together with our partners, our goal is to increase the knowledge and skills of young people in this field and to stimulate their economic growth.
