As JAA Team, we work from home starting from the WHO’s announcing COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic. Our top priority remains the health and safety of our team.
The current global pandemic COVID-19 has further accelerated the process of digitalization of our work with young people. Junior Achievement Azerbaijan is trying to adapt to this new process and implements the projects together with its partners faster and digital.
During the pandemic, the development and application of digital resources to serve more young people have become the main task of JAA. Working from home can be a challenging transition, so we’ve arranged online Zoom staff meetings. The flexibility of our working condition enabled us to hold our training sessions online for our youth and teachers. JA Azerbaijan has continued the “Youth Empowerment and Leadership” Project which is funded by the European Union and initiated by UNICEF and successfully expanded and provided relevant training activities online.
Apart from that JA Azerbaijan has organized online meetings with experts for secondary and vocational school teachers on entrepreneurship within the framework of the EU-funded project “Entrepreneurship For Youth”.
Furthermore, JA Azerbaijan proceeds its online Career Orientation and Planning Training for Youth.
To stop the spread of infection, we have also shared a few tips and tricks for employees who are able to work remotely to work from home.
Overall, working from home didn’t change our day-to-day work, we just did it from a different environment.
