Junior Entrepreneurs: Empowering Future Business Leaders” Project Enhances STEAM Teachers’ Entrepreneurial Skills

Within the framework of the “Junior Entrepreneurs: Empowering Future Business Leaders” project funded bp and its partners, an entrepreneurship training program was successfully organized for teachers representing diverse regions. The objective of this endeavor was to strengthen the abilities of STEAM educators in the field of entrepreneurship and provide them with innovative teaching methods.

The initial phase of the training occurred on September 30th and October 1st in various regions, such as Shirvan, Salyan, Lankaran, Jalilabad, Ganja, Agcabedi, Barda, Tovuz, Shamakhi, Agdash, Guba, Mingachevir, and Fuzuli. The second stage continued on October 7th and 8th, spanning the regions of Shamkir, Ganja, Zagatala, Balaken, Gakh, Kurdamir, Ismayilli, Agdash, and Beylegan.

These extensive two-day sessions were thoughtfully designed to equip teachers with practical skills and knowledge. Throughout the training program, participating educators actively engaged in immersive hands-on workshops, interactive sessions, and real-world exercises, all tailored to improve their ability to effectively teach entrepreneurship concepts. The curriculum encompassed a broad range of topics, including the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, the development of entrepreneurial skills, generating innovative business ideas, constructing business models, fostering creative thinking, and exploring the emerging domain of social entrepreneurship.

What set this program apart was the commitment of the trainers—STEAM teachers who had previously completed a Training of Trainers (TOT) program conducted by JA Azerbaijan from August 10th to 12th, 2023. These newly-certified trainers then passed on their knowledge and expertise to STEAM teachers in various regions, ensuring that the benefits of this initiative reached all corners of Azerbaijan.

In addition to the successful organization of the training program, JA Azerbaijan conducted comprehensive monitoring to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the training sessions.

The project is being executed in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and STEAM Azerbaijan.
